Mauricio Estrada was born into a family of racers. The Colombian-native's father, Ernesto, was a Motocross racer and his sister Janys is a decorated mountain bike and downhill champion as well. Mauricio started racing BMX at age 8, later transitioning into Mountain Bike racing at 16 years old. Now, 22 years later, he is still racing Downhill in the Pro class, battling for podiums and victories. He moved to the United States in 2013 and became one of the fastest riders in the North East U.S. From winning 5 consecutive Pro Downhill Easter Estates Cup titles in a row to just enjoying a good ride, Mauricio is a passionate about all the cycling disciplines.
