The Serpentine Trail is a bombproof mountain bike wheelset. We improve the stiffness, strength and longevity of a wheel by using an asymmetric (ASYM) rim design than improves spoke tension balance by up to 30%. On the trail, this translates to precise handling you can rely on. Add a 32mm internal width for ideal support of fat rubber.
Made just over the mountains from us in Bend, Oregon, Project 321 hubs offer absurdly fast, 216-point engagement and light-yet-strong alloy free-hubs. We use their “loud” pawl system for rock-solid reliability.
All Astral wheels feature a Tubeless Easy rim profile for painless tire installation and are hand-built by people that care.
